Hi,
I’m from a PR company and we currently have a brilliant little brand which doesn’t contain carbohydrates and is gluten free. We love your blog and think this product could benefit you and your readers. How do we go about contacting you about recipe ideas and press information? My email address is jenny-elise_briscoe@hotmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks
Hi
Morrisons Cheese and Onion, Salt and Vinegar and Cheese Puffs are also gluten free and
Antony Worrall Thomson does an okay gluton free Chicken and Beef Gravy sold in most “Free From” sections of supermarket.
As you are aware, this week is Coeliac Awareness Week (13-19th May), and as part of this, I thought you might be interested in running a competition on your blog to give away a gluten-free hamper (approx. value £100) this week?
This would include new fresh chilled gluten-free pastas from Asda’s FreeFrom range, as well as Chickpea Fusilli from Dell’Ugo, the UK’s largest fresh pasta brand – as well as other gluten-free items.
We also have some delicious and creative gluten-free pasta recipes to share from top-chef Steve Wadpole, Executive Head Development Chef at Dell’Ugo – would be interested in these?
Please let me know if you are interested
Possible competition text below – detailing contents – I have image I can send too.
This week is Coeliac Awareness Week and Asda has just launched two types of gluten-free fresh pasta under its Free From range: a penne and a tagliatelle. Made from cornflour and rice flour with the addition of water (no additives here!) it cooks in 3 minutes. Both varieties can be found in the chilled ready-meals aisle, priced at £1.50 for a 300g bag. To celebrate Coeliac Awareness Week we have a hamper filled with gluten-free goodies (worth around £150) to give away to one lucky winner. This includes Asda’s new fresh chilled pasta and also Dell’Ugo’s fresh Chickpea Fusilli, winner at this year’s FreeFrom Awards – as well as other gluten-free items. Dell’Ugo is the UK’s largest fresh pasta brand and specialises in making filled and unfilled pasta, based on authentic Italian recipes. Find out more at http://www.ugogroup.co.uk/
Hi,
I thought I would leave a post because as far as I’m aware there isn’t a specifically free-from company that makes cakes for special occasions which are wheat and gluten free.
I am wheat intolerant but stay away from gluten generally and also really allergic to nuts and thought it was about time there was something for people with allergies and intolerences.
I bake cakes which are wheat-free, gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free and working on egg-free.

Hi Saara,
I represent Dell’Ugo, UK’s largest fresh pasta brand – who also make gluten-free fresh pasta. We love your blog and think you and your readers might be interested in our products and new. What is the best way to get in touch with you regarding sending you info and samples to try? My email address is laura@connectedpr.com I look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks
Dear Saara
I have recently enjoyed reading your blog and can see how interested you are in new Gluten Free products that taste good and make life a little easier for Coeliacs, oarticularly those on a tight budget.
We are a small company based in Wiltshire making frozen, gluten free foods. We only make gluten free foods on our site to avoid any possibility of cross contamination. We buy traceable British meat in whole cuts eg British breast fillets, which we chop, and coat with a crispy gluten free crumb. We use British forequarter beef to which we add store cupboard ingredients to create our delicious lasagne. We do not add artificial colours, additives or flavours and we do not bulk out our products with water.
We launched Georgia’s Choice Chicken Bites and Georgia’s Choice Chicken Grills into Asda and Tesco last year. Retailing at £3 a pack they have been very popular. Great for those occasions when a quick fix is needed but you don’t want to compromise on quality or taste.
We are now adding 3 new lines to our range. Fish Cakes, which are, simply line caught Cod, potato and parsley coated in our crispy gluten free crumb. Mexican Bean Bake, a lightly spiced mix of sweet potato, peppers and corn coated in a gluten free crumb. Lasagne, a delicious beef bolognaise with béchamel sauce and rich cheddar cheese topping.
We are very proud of our range and feedback from coeliacs and conventional eaters suggest that once again we have successfully produced a gluten free version of a family favourite, which is superior in taste to the conventional version.
However, don’t take our word for it. we are happy to send you one of our products to independently review.

Hi there,
My name is Keeley, I’m 19 and I’m Coeliac I was diagnosed when I was 18 months old so I have been on a gluten free diet literally all my life. I used to work in Fosters fish and chips who offer gluten free fish and chips every Sunday. My dad currently manages the chippy along with my sister and they are also working on more gluten free options. My mum however manages a Fish and chip shop in Romiley for anybody near by its called Fletchers Fish and chips its a different batter to the one used in Fosters but some say tastier. They are also adding different gluten free things to the menu. Gluten free batter is available everyday bar fridays and the opening hours are monday-saturday 11.30-2pm and 4.30-9pm (restaurant closing 30 minutes before the takeaway). It’s another option for people and is worth a try!
Thankyou.
